We will communicate via our usual channels when vaccines become available for future phases. To keep up-to-date, please ensure you're contact details are current with reception. 

For current patients, Our Medical Home Penrith offers remote consultations with quality GPs from the comfort of your own home. Available 7am to 8pm on weekdays, and 8am to 8pm on weekends. Patients will need to have have attended the medical centre in-person within the last 12 months. An appointment is not required to see a GP at Our Medical Home Penrith. Simply walk in to see the next available doctor, or the doctor of your choice. No limits are placed on the consultation type or duration. Emergency patients will be given priority.

Our Medical Home Penrith is bulk billing made exceptional. We offer bulk billing to patients holding a Medicare card, so there is no out of pocket cost for most GP services. Fees apply to those patients who do not hold a Medicare card and for some consultation types such as pre-employment medicals, work-related injuries, iron infusions, IUD contraception insertions and where no Medicare item number applies.

Dr Charles Obinwanor provides bulk billed skin checks every Thursday from 9am to 4pm at Our Medical Home Penrith. To make an appointment contact reception.

Our Medical Home Penrith is also an nib first choice preferred provider. International visitors or students that have health insurance with nib may be eligible for 'no gap' GP consultations.

For patients of other health funds, please contact reception to get an estimate on the cost of a GP consultation.

Unless you are calling in relation to a medical emergency, your Doctor will be unable to speak to you whilst consulting with another patient. Our Receptionists will pass on a message and the Doctor will return the call when time permits. Requests for prescriptions and referrals will not be taken over the phone. Results from any tests or investigations will also not be given over the phone. 

For non-urgent medical treatment outside of our operating hours, existing patients can call 0498 004 670.

In the event of a major emergency day or night such as chest pain, breathing difficulties or a serious accident, patients should call 000 immediately.

Our Medical Home Penrith has on-site male physiotherapists available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. To make a physio appointment contact reception.

In addition to physiotherapy and dental, Our Medical Home Penrith has dietitians, a podiatrist and care plan nurse. Please ask your GP for a referral to any of these allied health professionals, and book an appointment with reception.

An Obstetrician Gynaecologist consults at Our Medical Home Penrith every fortnight on a Thursday from 2pm to 4pm.

4cyte Pathology operates a pathology service at Our Medical Home Penrith. This is a convenient option for patients of the general practice as well as walk-in pathology patients. The service currently operates from 7.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, and 8.00am to 3.30pm Saturday and Sunday. Pathology is open at weekend hours on public holidays.

Nepean Radiology offers diagnostic imaging services, located within Our Medical Home Penrith. The radiology service includes x-rays, dental OPGs, CT scans and ultrasounds and operates 7 days a week: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday 1pm to 5pm, and Sunday 9am to 1pm. For more information call 02 4702 3633.

Our Medical Home Penrith has a pharmacy on-site for patient convenience. It is open to 10pm 7 days a week, including public holidays. The pharmacy can help patients with prescriptions, medical devices, vitamins and more.

The Penrith Respiratory Clinic, located at the back of Our Medical Home Penrith, provides testing for mild-to-moderate respiratory conditions, including COVID-19, influenza and pneumonia. For more information and to book, visit our dedicated Penrith Respiratory Clinic page

The Penrith Respiratory Clinic is open every Monday to Friday from 9am-1pm and is closed on weekends and public holidays.

Your Doctor will guide you when to return to the medical centre to obtain results of any tests or investigations. An automated SMS is also sent to all pathology patients once the results have been received by the Doctor.

You will be required to return to the Centre to discuss these results as part of a consultation. If your urgent attendance is required to discuss a result your Doctor will arrange for you to be contacted.

We may also send reminder notices via mail, SMS or email in relation to preventative healthcare. If you do not wish to receive these communications, please advise our Reception team.
