Our Medical Home Penrith is taking the proactive step of ensuring all staff and doctors that are within 1.5 metres of patients wear face masks. We encourage patients and carers visiting the centre to wear a face mask.
You can see a quality GP with no need for an appointment. All GP consultations are bulk billed, and we are open until 10pm every day of the year. Walk in to see the next available or your preferred doctor.
In addition to bulk billing GPs, Our Medical Home Penrith offers on-site pathology, a full dental clinic, physiotherapy, radiology, allied health and specialist services. There is also a separate respiratory clinic behind the main medical centre testing any patients with flu-like symptoms.

Our Medical Home Penrith has taken measures to accommodate patient and doctor safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- All patients can now contact the medical centre for a Telehealth consultation
- Those that are 'at-risk' of COVID-19* or considered a vulnerable group** are encouraged to contact the centre for a Telehealth consultation in the first instance
*Patients who consider themselves ‘at-risk’ of COVID-19 – whether from overseas travel, close contact with people from overseas, or exposure to COVID-19, can now call the medical centre to speak to a GP in the first instance. Call reception and a GP will call you back for an initial telehealth consult. At that time, you will receive instruction on next steps if further testing or treatment is required.
**Patients that are more susceptible to COVID-19, can also call the centre for a telehealth consultation for any illness. These include patients that are pregnant, with children less than 1 year old, aged 70 or over, that are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander aged 50+, or those already under treatment for chronic health conditions or immune compromised.

An appointment is not required to see a GP at Our Medical Home Penrith. Simply walk in to see the next available doctor, or the doctor of your choice. No limits are placed on the consultation type or duration. Emergency patients will be given priority.
We offer bulk billing to patients holding a Medicare card, so there is no out of pocket cost for most GP services. Fees apply to those patients who do not hold a Medicare card and for some consultation types such as pre-employment medicals, work-related injuries, iron infusions, IUD contraception insertions and where no Medicare item number applies.
Our Medical Home Penrith is also an nib first choice preferred provider. International visitors or students that have health insurance with nib may be eligible for 'no gap' GP consultations.

Unless you are calling in relation to a medical emergency, your Doctor will be unable to speak to you whilst consulting with another patient. Our Receptionists will pass on a message and the Doctor will return the call when time permits. Requests for prescriptions and referrals will not be taken over the phone. Results from any tests or investigations will also not be given over the phone.
In the event of a major emergency day or night such as chest pain, breathing difficulties or a serious accident, patients should call 000 immediately.

Our Medical Home Penrith has on-site male and female physiotherapists available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. To make a physio appointment phone 8311 3888.
In addition to physiotherapy and dental, Our Medical Home Marsden Park has dietitians, a podiatrist and care plan nurse. A Gynaecologist also consults at Our Medical Home Penrith. Please ask your GP for a referral to any of these allied health professionals and specialists, and book an appointment with reception.
4cyte Pathology operates a pathology service at Our Medical Home Penrith. This is a convenient option for patients of the general practice as well as walk-in pathology patients. The service currently operates from 7.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, and 8.00am to 12.30pm Saturday and Sunday.
Nepean Radiology opened within Our Medical Home Penrith in June 2019. The radiology service includes x-rays, dental OPGs, CT scans and ultrasounds.
Radiology operates 7 days a week: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday 1pm to 5pm, and Sunday 9am to 1pm. For more information call 02 4702 3633.
Your Doctor will guide you when to return to the medical centre to obtain results of any tests or investigations. An automated SMS is also sent to all pathology patients once the results have been received by the Doctor.
You will be required to return to the Centre to discuss these results as part of a consultation. If your urgent attendance is required to discuss a result your Doctor will arrange for you to be contacted.
We may also send reminder notices via mail, SMS or email in relation to preventative healthcare. If you do not wish to receive these communications, please advise our Reception team.
